Week 4
Things have started well so I need to maintain this momentum. I’m lacking a crucial ingredient to my plan. Hmmmmm…a bike of course! My Mum’s neighbours, Nick and Paula, kindly lent me their mountain bike to use for the foreseeable future. I really appreciate their kindness and support. I’m thrilled by the idea of getting out and pedalling around in the Cornish hills during January…..n o wonder they were so happy for me to use it! I’m going to use this bike in the mean time until I buy my own bike. My plan is to head up country to the bright lights of London town for my new two wheeled friend.
I put together a proposal that described my back story and the reasons for wanting to do the bike ride. After lots of drafting and editing, an all singing and dancing proposal is ready for action. Or at least the text is. My computer skills are basic but there are some odd moments of inspired “work” on Clipart. I thought it would be best to leave it to an expert. My week continued well as I sent out lots of emails to engage with people who might be interested in my ride. Feedback was positive and encouraging so I was feeling positive. I also decided to learn Italian. At present, my vocabulary knowledge is limited with only vino, pizza, ciao, birra and pasta. I feel this might not be enough so I bought a book and got down to some fun and exciting Italian grammar.
Some fun rides this week too! Fitness is returning after the gluttony of Christmas.
