Dad’s Guest Blog
Thanks to Phil for letting me have a bit of a say on his diary page. Now you will learn the truth about the inside story of his ride!
Phil has had a great start – cycling around 50 miles in two days and with lots of generous donations rolling in for his two arthritis charities. It was a tough ride today for Phil but he whizzed along the 30 mile route in 2 and a quarter hours – only about 45 minutes less than I took in the motorhome following a similar route. It must be his cool black lycra shorts and sunglasses!
Here is Phil yesterday in full battle dress with brother Tim and sister Bridget at our lunch stop yesterday at the Wellow Riding School café.
We have been sustained today by generous culinary contributions. Claire’s chocolate brownies and Jonathan’s home-made chicken soup and scones to which we added jam and clotted cream. Will be hard to keep up such a high standard of foodie treats to keep us cheerful along the route.
