Week 13
A big week! Luckily, my hip pain improved and I could start exercising again. I had my first personal trainer session with Kirstin Lamb at the local gym called St Just Sports Centre. They’ve been ever so friendly and helpful since I’ve started going there. It’s a great gym with everything I need for my new regime. I really appreciate their support and encouragement. My first session with Kirstin was fun! Lots of lifting, planking, pulling and stretching gave me a fun workout! I’ll be back for more!
During my research for the ride, I stumbled across Simon Stones. A truly inspirational man who has an incredible story. He’s involved with all kinds of groups and organisations that promote young people with arthritis and other silent illnesses. I had the pleasure of chatting to him on the phone for over an hour and we discussed our lives and plans for the future. He was very supportive and loved the idea of the ride. I feel we share common values and both want the same thing for our work. I’m hoping this ride raises awareness for those young people out there who suffer with pain every day. Please take a minute to check out Simon here: www.simonstones.com
The week ended in style as I set up my Facebook page. The website looks fantastic with all thanks going to the brilliant Paula! On my first weekend of sharing it with my friends, we’re already up to 1000 pounds! Excellent work everybody! Loving my supportive friends and family!
